Ingredient Profile

Vitex agnus-castus fruit (Chasteberry)

Chasteberry helps alleviate symptoms of PMS

It helps maintain normal endocrine balance of ovarian hormones

Clinical research has found that chasteberry supplementation improved progesterone levels, normalized menstrual cycles, and increased pregnancy rates in women with oligomenorrhea (condition of infrequent periods) compared to placebo.

Camellia sinensis leaf (Green tea)

Antioxidant activity to help prevent oxidative stress

Green tea extracts contain a range of active ingredients including polyphenols. Polyphenols have potent antioxidants and anti-inflammatory activity which can exert protective effects on the ovary.

An important element

Selenium deficiency is common in normal pregnancy and may contribute to risk of early pregnancy loss if prolonged.

Vitamin E (d-alpha-Tocopheryl acid succinate)

Antioxidant activity to help prevent oxidative stress

Has an important role in follicle development.

Vitamin E supplementation has been shown to provide symptomatic relief to women suffering from dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome; helping menstrual cycle regulation

A different clinical study found that vitamin E supplementation increased endometrial thickness, suggesting luteal phase support.

Vitamin B9 (Folic acid)

Folic acid is the dietary precursor of folate, an essential B-group vitamin

If taken daily for one month before conception and during pregnancy, may reduce the risk of having a child with spina bifida/neural tube defects.

Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid)

Antioxidant activity to help prevent oxidative stress

Vitamin C is highly concentrated in endocrine organs such as the ovary

Vitamin C is involved in the production of hormones that include oxytocin, vasopressin and progesterone

Vitamin C is actively taken up by the follicles around ovulation and appears to aid follicle expansion and post-ovulation steroidogenesis of progesterone

Vitamin C is also required for the production of collagen within the ovary, during follicular growth and corpus luteum development

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) and Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)

Both B-vitamins support folic acid in the folate cycle

Vitamins B6 and B12 support processes from conception through to the end of pregnancy

Essential vitamins required for cellular metabolism

Zinc is required in many important processes related to fertility, conception and development

An essential mineral required in cell metabolism
